Rouleau United Church was the scene of a wedding Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, when Mildred Mary, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Argue, Rouleau, became the bride of Roy Albert Peel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Peel, Bethune, Rev. Geo. Dix, Wilcox, performed the ceremony.
The bride who entered the church with her father to the strains of the wedding march from "Lohengrin," played by Miss Evelyn Johnson, wore a becoming gown of white georgette over white taffeta with touches of silver and the conventional veil and orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of roses. Miss Hazel Geddes, Moose Jaw, as bridesmaid, wore a dress of pink georgette with hat to match and carried a bouquet of pink and mauve sweet peas. Little Leona Argue, a dress of shell pink, was flower girl.
The groom was attended by his brother, Clayton Peel. Messrs. Alvin, Melvin and Earl Argue acted as ushers.
While the register was being signed Dr. V. Rondeau sang "Because."
Following the ceremony, a wedding luncheon was served at the home of the bride's parents. The parents of the bride and groom assisted in receiving the guests, the bride's mother wearing a beautiful French model frock of ashes and roses georgette, and the mother of the groom gowned in black satin. During the reception, musical numbers were given by Misses Evelyn Johnson, Beryl Johnson, Jean Murphy, Margaret Geddes, Mrs. Carmen ilson (sic), and Dr. Rondeau.
Misses Marion Massey, Zella Doraty, Nellie Randell and Mrs. Melvin Argue assisted in serving.
In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Peel left by motor for Yellowstone Park, where they will spend their honeymoon. The bride's travelling costume was a coat of powder blue with dress and hat to match and fox fur. On their return, Mr. and Mrs. Peel will reside at Bethune.4
