Herbert Edward Lovelady, of Zwolle, LA, passed away November 6, 2000, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 9, 2000 with interment at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 7th at 4:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Mr. Lovelady was a lifelong resident of Sabine Parish. He as (sic) widely known for his skill and talent for bricklaying and loved greatly by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marguerite H. Lovelady of Zwolle, LA; also surviving are his six children, Helen Sloan and husband, Tim of Lafayette, LA; Pat Lovitt and husband, Keith of Zwolle, LA; Ronnie Lovelady and wife, Twyla of Negreet, LA; Nina Dickson and husband, Jim of Belmont, LA; Paul Lovelady and wife, Sandy of Zwolle, LA; and Rachel Ponder and husband, Donnie of Marshall, TX He is also survived by one brother, Cecil Lovelady of Many, LA; sixteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
