Ancestry.com does not show the right hand page associated with this registration so the marriage location can be no more specific than Simcoe County. However, since they were both resident in Oro Twp., that is probably where they were wed.

Similarly, the registration number was recorded on this right hand page, so it is not available.

She was born in April 1842, Canada West (modern Ontario), United Province of Canada The 1861 census shows she was 18 and born in L C (Lower Canada) rather than W C (Canada West) like her younger siblings. However, Lower Canada was reorganized as Canada West in 1841, so the place designation may be inaccurate.

The 1900 U.S. census shows she was a widow living in the household of her son-in-law, David Griffis..4,5 Alternatively, she may have been born circa 1843 at Scotland1; or, in 1843 or 1844 at Lower Canada (modern Québec), British North America, according to the 1861 census.3 Agnes married William Scobie on 6 March 1860, Renfrew County, Canada West (modern Ontario), United Province of Canada.2
