He was born in March 1881 at Ontario, Canada.2 Alternatively, he may have been born on 18 April 1881 at Nottawasaga Twp., Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Birth Registration 030486.1
His name was also recorded as Henry Clarke.2
Henry Clarke appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Nottawasaga Twp., Simcoe County, Ontario in the household of his parents, Charles and Alvina Clarke.2
The following information is from my personal research:
It is interesting that his son Henry is included in the 1881 census, becuase the birth registration that Charles later submitted (on 27 Dec 1881) indicated that he was born April 18th, after the official enumeration date of April 4th. On the census, he is shown as age "1/12, Mar" indicating he was 1 month old and born in March.

Did his father get the month wrong on the birth registration? Men can do that you know.3
