     He was born on 26 May 1872 at Sheffield, Yorkshire (West Riding), England.1,7,2,8,6,4,9 Charles married Ann Mariah Shaw on 20 June 1892 at Owen Sound, Grey County, Ontario, Canada, at Heathcote according to their famliy biography in the Estevan history book.10,2,3,8 Charley married Ham M. Shaw between June 1914 and May 1916, The only evidence of this marriage is found in the 1916 census. Her given name is not too legible. My best reading is given above.11
     Charles Henry Shaw died on 7 December 1932 at Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada, at age 60.5,2 Alternatively, he died on 8 December 1932 at age 60.8
     Charles Henry Shaw was buried at Estevan City Cemetery, Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada.12,8
     He was commonly known as Charley Shaw.9 He immigrated in 1873 or 1874 to Ontario, Canada, from England.7,9
     Charles Henry Shaw appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario in the household of his parents, William and Anne Shaw.6
     Charles H. and Ann M Shaw appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Manitou, Manitoba, enumerated 31 March 1901, described as a day laborer and a Prebsyterian. Their children: Percy M. and Hazel, were listed as living with them.7

The following biographical fact was included at the book "A Tale that is told: Estevan, 1890-1980. (1981), 1903:
They homesteaded 11 miles northeast of Estevan in 1903.2

     Charles Henry Shaw was a survivor of his wife Ann who died on 10 May 1914.13
     Charley and Ham M. Shaw appeared on the 1916 Census of Canadian Prairie Provinces, RM of Estevan No. 5, Saskatchewan, enumerated 1 June 1916, described as a farmer on nis own account.. Their children Percy, Hazel, Flossie, Eddie, Pearl, Cliford, Cecil, Donald, Earnest, Orian and Roy were listed as living with them. Charley's wife was step-mother to all of the children.9
     Charles Henry Shaw appeared on the 1921 Canadian Census of RM of Estevan No. 5, Saskatchewan, enumerated 1 June 1921. Charles was described as described as a widower and a farmer on his own farm. His children Flossie, William Edward, Pearl, Clifford Henry, Cecil Mitchell, Donald, Earnest, Orion and Roy were listed as living with him.4
     In the obituary of Ed Shaw who died 30 January 1992, his father, Charles Henry Shaw, was listed as predeceased.14
     The following analysis is from my personal research and reflects my attempts to consolidate information from different sources.
If Charles did not have a second marriage, it is possible that Ann Maria did not die in 1914 as we currently record.13

     She was born on 9 April 1902 at Manitou, Manitoba, Canada.1,4 Flossie married Herbert Lyle Taylor, in the Estevan district, in 1921 at Saskatchewan, Canada, although the Estevan history tells that they were married for 50 years at the time of his death in 1970. They must have married after June 15th when she was enumerated as single, and still living with her parents.2,5,6 Flossie married Nicholas Kuster on 24 November 1978.2
     Flossie Elizabeth Shaw died on 31 January 1991 at age 88.5,7
     Flossie Elizabeth Shaw was buried at Estevan City Cemetery, Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada.7
