She was born on 18 May 1845 at Canada West, United Province of Canada.3,2 Frances married Alexander Bowes before 1878.3,4,1
Frances Ann Thomas died on 18 May 1924 at Hyndford, Grattan Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 79 of pneumonia. Note that this death registration was copied from the original in Aug of 1924, so in the course of making the copy, the date of birth (May 18) but this does not explain why the date of return and burial are also around that date. Perhaps the transcription date of May 16th , in the Eganville Extracts book is incorrect.2

Frances Ann Thomas was buried on 20 May 1924 at Killaloe, Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.2
Frances appeared n the 1921 Canadian Census of Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, in the household of Albert Noack and Jenny Noack, listed as retired.5
The following obituary appeared in the newspaper the Eganville Leader published in Eganville, Ontario 16 May 1924 :
The death occurred at Hyndford on Sunday of Mrs Alex Bowes, of Pembroke, who had come here on Friday to visit her daughter, Mrs Noack. She was aged 79. She leaves two sons and one daughter

Note that the above date is either transcribed incorrectly by me, or the complier of the book since she did not die until the 18th.3

     Research notes:
why does her death registration indicate she died two days later on May 18th? Is the date incorrect in "Death Notices & Obituaries from The Eganville Leader 1922-1927"?6

Ernie Bimm Assumes Management of Store
The Bimm general store, under the control and management of the members of the same family since its establishment in 1911, passes to one of the younger generation. It is announced in the Leader this week, by Ernest G. Bimm, that the store is being taken over by his son, Ernest E. Bimm. The young man was attached to the Canadian Army and had attained the rank of Captain. Previous to this he filled an important position with the Hydro Electric Power Commission of Ontario. We are convinced he has the qualities which will grapple successfully with the stern realities of commercial life and competition, and in this connection he is fortunate in beginning this career in having the advice and guidance of an experienced father.11
