The following article appeared in the North Bay, Ontario North Bay Nugget, 21 June 1939 :
(photo) LORA-EDWARDS NUPTIALS SATURDAY
A pretty wedding of Saturday last was Muriel Edwards to Harold (Joe) Lora of Sudbury, which was solemnized in the parsonage of Trinity United Church. The bride and groom are pictured here immediately after the ceremony with their attendants, Miss Gertrude Lora, Renfrew, sister of the groom, and Don Young of Sudbury. Mrs. Lora in the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Edwards, of Toronto, and the groom, the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Lora, of Renfrew. Left to right are the groomsman and bridesmaid, the groom and his bride.7
Harold Lora, of Sudbury, was the informant on the death registration of his father, Herman Wilfred Lora, who died on 18 April 1941.10
In the obituary of Herman Wilfred Lora who died 18 April 1941, his son, Harold Wilbert Lora was listed as a survivor.11
In the obituary of Emma Lora McCullagh who died 1 December 1981, her son, Harold Lora, was listed as predeceased.12
The following analysis is from my personal research and reflects my attempts to consolidate information from different sources.
A 1932 news article referred to Herman, and his son, Joseph, testifying at an inquiry. This confused me until I found the wedding announcement in the North Bay Nugget which referred to the groom as Harold (Joe) Lora. Apparently Joe was a nickname and the 1932 article used the more formal Joseph.13
