Zummach - McCannei
     WALKERTON ,June 18 — A quiet June wedding of two well known young people of Hanover and Walkerton took place on June 12 at the Presbyterian manse here, when Miss Marjorie Eleanor McCannel, youngest daughter of Mr. Alex McCannei and the late Mrs. McCannei of town, became the bride of Mr. Jack Zummach, only son of Mr. Alex Zummach of Hanover. Rev. J. V. Mills, Knox Church pastor, officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Mr. Edwin McCannei. She was attired in a white suit with hat and accessories to match.
     After the ceremony the wedding party repaired to the bride's home where a delightful luncheon was served, the young couple leaving later via motor on a honeymoon trip to Northern Ontario. On their return Mr. and Mrs. Zummach will reside In Hanover where the groom is in business.11

Hanover Welcomes Soldiers
     The Hanover Band and a large number of citizens were on hand at Hanover to meet the late train on Tuesday night to welcome home several of the town's lighting sons after from three to four years spent in the war zone of Europe. Among them were: Jack Zummack, Harold Wright, George Klemmer, Jack Sewell, Mervyn Fry and Nursing Sister Jennet Burnett. Roy Nicking arrived home on the noon train on Wednesday.17

     In the obituary of Alexander R. Zummach who died 4 January 1960, Jack Zummach, of Port McNIchol, was listed as a survivor.18
