     Robert George Moffat began military service on 2 June 1916 at the age of 22 years, 3 months and 13 days at Camp Hughes, RM of North Cypress, Manitoba, CanadaG, joining the 100th Battalion (Winnipeg Grenadiers).2,9 On 9 September 1916 Robert George Moffat wrote his will leaving all to his mother, Louise Moffatt.2 Sapper Robert George Moffat ended military service as part of general demobilization on 7 May 1919 at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, after serving in England and France.
